An inmate at the Atoka County Jail is facing accusations of assault after allegedly striking a jailer during an attempt to move her to a detox cell on the evening of July 8, 2025.
According to a report filed by Atoka County Deputy Joe Miklaucic, the incident occurred at approximately 10:59 PM. Jailer Gavyn Castleberry reportedly observed inmate Franci Seabourn behaving erratically in a supervision cell, including kicking, banging, and screaming at the cell and window.
In an attempt to de-escalate the situation and move her, Jailer Castleberry opened the cell door to speak with Seabourn. The inmate allegedly refused to comply, stating, 'Make me move.' When the jailer entered the cell, Seabourn reportedly became physically combative and splashed water from a cup onto his face.
