Choctaw Nation Member Arrested on Multiple Charges After Traffic Stop

A routine traffic stop for a defective vehicle led to the arrest of a Choctaw Nation tribal member on July 4, 2025, who is now facing multiple charges including driving on a revoked license, possession of controlled dangerous substances, and drug paraphernalia.

The incident occurred within the City Limits of Atoka, which falls within the territorial boundaries of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.

At approximately 5:00 PM, Officer Zachary Rice of the Atoka Police Department, who is also cross-deputized with the Choctaw Nation Tribal Police, observed a white Ford F-350 pickup traveling north on U.S. 69 near Pulchny's Dozer Service.
