A woman was arrested on June 6, 2025, following a report of shoplifting at Walmart, which also revealed a history of similar incidents.
At approximately 7:48 PM, Sgt. James Riley of the Atoka Police Department received a radio call about a possible shoplifter who had left Walmart in a red Chevrolet single cab truck, heading northbound on Highway 69. The suspect was described as wearing a white top and gray shorts.
Sgt. Riley located a matching truck turning into the Hop N Shop gas station. Latricia Workman, an Asset Protection employee for Walmart, had sent a picture of the truck, confirming it was the same vehicle. Sgt. Riley approached the driver, identified as Kyla Willis, who matched the description of the shoplifter.
