A high-speed vehicle pursuit originating in Caddo ended in Atoka County last Thursday after the suspect's vehicle struck another vehicle, leading to the driver's arrest on felony charges of eluding police and running a roadblock.
On July 17, 2025, Atoka County Dispatch reported an active vehicle pursuit initiated by the Caddo Police Department. The suspect vehicle, a black Jeep Cherokee, was traveling northbound towards Atoka County at high speed. The driver was operating the vehicle recklessly, making unsafe lane changes and narrowly avoiding collisions as it approached the Tushka city limits.
In response, Atoka Police Officer Joe Doshier and a responding officer proceeded to Highway 69 and established a roadblock with stop sticks just north of the Muddy Boggy Bridge. The responding officer positioned their patrol vehicle on the east shoulder with emergency lights activated, while Officer Doshier deployed the stop sticks on the west side of Highway 69 from a safe position in the median.
