Caney High School alumnus Sergeant Tomye Blackwood recently earned a promotion, becoming a squad leader in the U.S. Marine Corps. As a Sergeant, Blackwood is responsible for leading and training 12 other Marines in key tactical objectives, a role his alma mater celebrates with immense pride.
