ODOT Launches 'Name a Snowplow' Contest for Oklahoma Students

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) is inviting students from across the state to participate in its firstever 'Name a Snowplow' contest. The initiative encourages creativity and engagement from kindergarten through 12thgrade students, offering them the unique opportunity to name 24 of ODOT's snowplows.

Students eager to leave their mark on an ODOT snowplow can submit their creative name ideas online at OkTraffic.org and clicking the “Name a Snowplow” icon on bottom right corner of the screen. The deadline for submissions is September 15, 2025.

If their name is chosen, students could win big. Prizes include their winning name displayed on a snowplow, a VIP photo with the snowplow, and an ODOT Gear Pack containing an insulated water bottle, a beanie, and a side bag.
