Troy Randal Jackson, age 69, of Farris, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026, in Denison, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 27, 1956, in Reedley, California, to Leroy and Billie Eugenia (Atkisson) Jackson.
Troy attended elementary school in Orrosi, CA and Farris, OK, graduated from Atoka High School, and furthered his education at Murray State College. Troy had multiple jobs throughout his lifetime. He worked as a machinist for Haliburton, a quarry operator for Dolese, and as a rancher on his Lazy J Ranch.
On May 10, 2016, Troy married Phyllis Ann (McCarty) Jackson in Atoka, Oklahoma. He was a member of Mountain View Pentecostal Church, where he gave his life to the Lord on September 1, 2024. He was baptized a week later at Atoka Lake, surrounded by family and friends. He loved spending time outdoors—fishing, noodling, hunting with his children, cutting firewood, working cows, and visiting the sale barn. He also enjoyed playing dominoes with family and friends. Anyone who knew him knows he never met a stranger, had the gift to gab, and a stubborn side with a big heart. He was a very proud Dad and Papa and loved sharing his family’s accomplishments.
Troy is survived by his wife, Phyllis Ann Jackson, of the home; daughter Jeana Reece and husband Shannon of Farris, OK; sons Blake Jackson and wife Amber of Altus, OK, Jordan Jackson of Davis, OK, and step-son Monroe Isom of Farris, OK; granddaughters Rylee Jackson, Raynee Reece, Reegan Reece; and “his only” grandson Gunner Jackson; sister Laura Durbin and husband David of Atoka, OK; brother Dean Jackson and wife Dana of Lane, OK; and a host of close family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Billie Eugenia Jackson; brother Timothy Ray Jackson; mother of his children, Mary Jackson Tidwell; and stepfather, Frank R.
