Kenneth Jacob Evans, 95, of Boggy Depot, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2026, at Durant Health and Rehabilitation in Durant, Oklahoma.

Kenneth was born November 30, 1930, to Jacob Edward Evans and Beulah Mae (Hill) Evans. He was raised in the Boggy Depot community and attended Boggy Depot School then graduated from Tushka, where he went to state twice in basketball. His junior year they won a state championship and his senior year they lost by one point.

On March 26, 1949, he married Jessie Waggoner in Sherman, Texas. She preceded him in death on April 8, 2022.

Kenneth worked many years as a plumber and also did heat and air service work. He was known for his strong work ethic and the pride he took in providing for his family.

He was a faithful member and deacon of Choctaw Baptist Church. Kenneth enjoyed fishing, hunting elk and pheasant, participating in conservation projects, planting trees, working in his yard, and traveling. He especially cherished time spent with his grandkids, family and friends. He enjoyed going to the casino with his wife and playing slots. Traveling with his kids and grandkids.

He is survived by his son, Michael Evans and wife Becky of Atoka, Oklahoma; daughter, Sandra Pratt and husband Tom Leisy of Moore, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Christopher Evans and wife Marva of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Timothy Evans and wife Sandi of Kansas City, Kansas, Tiffany English and husband John of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Heath Pratt and wife Kayley of Durant, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren, Makenzie and husband Brandon Broughton, Maci English, Blake Evans, Taylor Evans, Quinn Pratt, and Warren Pratt; great-great-grandchild, Blair Broughton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jessie Evans; his son, Ronald Evans and wife Brenda Evans; granddaughter, Sherri Dawn Evans; brothers, Wylie Evans, Leo Evans, Cleo Evans, and Monroe Evans.
