Doris June (Cleveland) Grimsley

Doris June (Cleveland) Grimsley, of Atoka, was born July 30, 1953, to Raymond Carson and Orvizine (Nichols) Cleveland in Oklahoma City, OK. She went to be with her Lord on May 9, 2026 in Atoka, OK at the age of 72 years, 9 months, and 8 days. Doris graduated from Wapanucka High School in 1971 and married Randall Wayne Grimsley, October 8, 1971, in Wapanucka, OK.
Doris enjoyed life's simple pleasures-reading, solving puzzles, shopping with the girls and fishing with Randy and their boys. Most of all, she treasured time with the people she loved. A devoted grandmother, she delighted in attending Aled's sporting events and loved helping him search for treasures with his metal detector. During his visits to Atoka, they made special memories, including roasting marshmallows over the firepit.
Through Ms. Doris' Daycare, Doris cared for and influenced many Atoka children. She also enjoyed meeting people at the Service Desk while employed at Walmart when it first opened in Atoka and she spent many years supporting Susie McEntire in her music ministry. More recently, she worked for Dana and Randy Morris at Morris Trucking Company.
A woman of deep faith, Doris loved the Lord and attended worship services at Victory Life in Atoka and worked with the Children's Ministry for many years. Her kindness and caring spirit were evident to everyone who knew her, and she was always willing to go out of her way to bring joy to others.
Doris leaves a legacy of love, compassion, and selflessness. Her life will be remembered by all who were blessed to know her. May those who mourn find comfort in the joy she shared and the memories she leaves behind.
