Rodney Dock Couch
Rodney Dock Couch

Rodney graduated from Kiowa High School in 1977, where he was a member of the last football team Kiowa had, basketball, baseball, and FFA. He went on to forge a successful career as a lifelong rancher and cattle trader, a calling that allowed him to remain connected to the land he cherished. His work ethic and keen business sense were renowned, as was his uncanny ability to make a deal. It was often said that Rodney could sell a blind man glasses, and if you asked him, anything he had was for sale for the right price.
Rodney’s life was marked by his love for stock dog trials, stockyards and rodeos, passions that reelected his deep connection to the ranching lifestyle. He relished the opportunity to gather with his family and friends at these events, sharing laughs and stories. His quick wit and fondness for humor made him a favorite among friends and family, always ready to lighten the mood with a well-timed joke.
Family was the cornerstone of Rodney’s life, and he was blessed with a large and loving family. He leaves behind his cherished children: Clinton Couch and his wife, Amy of Ashland, OK: Amanda Delt and her husband Greg of Howe, OK: and Natasha Haley and her husband Austin Haley of Wardville, OK. He also leaves behind his only sister Valerie Couch of Limestone Gap.
Rodney’s legacy extends to his 10 grandchildren, Lane Couch, Keely King and husband Preston, Chuck Couch, Callie Sills and husband River, Cech Helms, Creek Helms and wife Taitum, Raelyn and Kadynce Delt, Gracie and Brooklyn Haley, and his great-grandchildren. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, and his memory will be cherished forever.
