Charles Leon Noak, of Caney, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025, in Durant, Oklahoma, at the age of 88. He was born on October 28, 1936, in Tushka, Oklahoma, to Herman and Opal (Withrow) Noak. On June 10, 1956, Charles married the love of his life, Emma Crossland, in Caney, Oklahoma. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and the joy of raising a family.

For 30 years, Charles worked for J.C. Potter Sausage Company where his work ethic and personable nature were well-known and appreciated. Charles greatly enjoyed the outdoors, evident in a life spent ranching, baling hay and tending to his cattle with hard work and dedication. In his downtime, he shared his love and passion for coon hunting with fellow hunters and the Atoka Coon Hunters Association. He trained many championship dogs over the years, including a Grand Night Champion. In addition to hunting, he was also an avid fisherman and enjoyed tending to his pecans.

Charles accepted Christ as his personal saviour early in life and truly lived his life following the two great commandments by loving and serving God, family, and neighbors in a Christlike way. As a deacon of Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Caney, Charles' faith was a cornerstone of his life. His service to the church and community reflected his deep belief in kindness, compassion, and the importance of fellowship. Those who knew Charles will remember him as a people person, always ready with a warm smile and a friendly conversation.

Charles' legacy lives on through his children: Charla Grimes and husband Paul of Duncan, Oklahoma, Pamela Taylor and husband Mark of Wilburton, Oklahoma, and David Noak and wife Christy of Grants Pass, Oregon. He loved spending time with his grandchildren: Kara Garrett and husband Travis of Pottsboro, Texas, Kasie Taylor of McKinney, Texas, Randy Grimes and wife Lezlie of Ada, Oklahoma, Alan Grimes and wife Brie also of Ada, Oklahoma, Ethan Noak, and Colin Noak both of Grants Pass, Oregon, along with his great-grandchildren, Jacob, Adelyn, Cooper, Emma, Caleb, and Kathryn.
