Terry Layne Donihoo

Terry Layne Donihoo, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on May 24, 2025, at the age of 56. Born in McKinney, Texas on May 22, 1969, Terry later made his home in Cartwright, Oklahoma, where he was known for his big heart, strong hands, and love of life’s simple joys.
Terry graduated from Colbert High School and spent his life working hard, fixing vehicles, collecting knives, and surrounding himself with the things—and people—he loved most. He had a lifelong passion for working with his hands, an admiration for bulls, and an unmatched love for his many fur babies: Spunky, Lil Girl, Lil Will, Luca, Вleu, Silly Girl, and Nila.
Terry shared 13 wonderful years with his wife, Lisa Donihoo. They were married on June 24, 2019, in Durant, Oklahoma, and built a life filled with laughter, loyalty, and unconditional love. He is survived by Lisa and their loving blended family:

• Son, Laramie Donihoo and wife Madaline of Atoka, OK
• Daughter, Miranda Donihoo of Atoka, OK
• Stepson, Joshua Vaughn of Denison, TX
• Stepson, Mark Stackhouse Jr. of Denison, TX
• Stepdaughter, Camberleig Sanders of Denison, TX
• Grandchildren: Tucker Ishmael, Isabella Donihoo, and Dawson Donihoo Terry is also survived by his siblings:

• Sister, Janis Hawley
• Sister, Dorothy Morrow (preceded in death by her husband, Jim Morrow) of Las Vegas, NV
• Sister, Brenda Ratcliff and husband Ron of Mesquite, TX He will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who cherished his presence and the wisdom he shared.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Winnie Lou Donihoo and J.C. Donihoo, as well as his nephew, Cody Donihoo.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Terry’s honor on Saturday, May 31, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Cartwright Community Center in Cartwright, Oklahoma. Friends and family are invited to come and remember a man who lived fully, loved deeply, and left a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Terry’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him—and in the quiet hum of an engine being fixed, the glint of a well-kept knife, and the loyal eyes of a dog that remembers.
