John Joseph 'Joe' Crowley, age 86, a longtime Atoka, OK resident.
He was born on Tuesday, September 13, 1938, to Paul Revere and Anna Ruth (McKaskle) Crowley, at McAlester, OK.
Joe passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at his home in Atoka, OK.
86 years, 9 months and 4 days.
He attended Atoka Schools and later SOSU graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Technology.
Joe began his career as an auto mechanic and later went to work at the Army Ammunition Plant, retiring after 30 plus years of service. Over the years he owned several businesses in Atoka, The Atoka Donut Shop, Laundry Mat, Dairy Queen and Joe's Gun.
He met the love of his life, Sue Ann (Dandridge), at the Atoka Movie Theatre and married her on Saturday, December 7th, 1963 at Atoka, OK at Harmony Baptist Church. They celebrated almost 62 years of marriage.
Joe was a published author, lover of anything antique, fixer of all things and the families own keeper of all the things. A love for his beloved cat Fred (multiple), avid arborist and bird watcher, sipper of Spiked Sprite Zero and lover of Cheez Its. Joe was a teacher of many things.
